Wins over two ranked teams — Clarkstown South on Friday and Ursuline on Monday — keep the Dutchies near the top of the rankings. This team has the depth in the lineup to compete with anyone. |

The Indians won back to back games with Our Lady of Lourdes last week and are building up steam before they head upstate to play in the prestigious Morabito Tournament next weekend. |

South’s 2-1 setback to Tappan Zee is hardly cause for concern. Interesting week ahead for the Vikings, who have North Rockland, Pearl River and White Plains on the slate in the next seven days. |

Thursday’s matchup at Pelham should be interesting given the first one went to extra innings. Anna Crowley (.536 average, 4 homers and 12 RBI) has been terrific all season for the Eagles. |

Warwick lost for the second time, falling to Section 9 Class AA favorite Valley Central 9-4 on Thursday. Sophomore Makenna Diguilio has had an exceptional season, batting .500 in 11 games with 19 RBI. | |

The Panthers are just piling up numbers and are perhaps the most dominant team in Section 1. They haven’t allowed a run in four games and outscored their 10 opponents by a staggering 156-7 margin. |

The Iron Dukes are on a tear since losing their opener to Warwick. They should continue to build momentum and make a serious run at a Section 9 Class A championship. |
