Langdon to get her kicks at Lynn
Lakeland girls soccer star Cady Langdon will compete at Lynn University (Fla.) in the fall. She is slated to sign her National Letter of Intent today.
“I visited [Lynn] in the summer, but it was when students weren’t on campus so I didn’t really get a good feel for the campus life,” Langdon said. “But when I went back in November and talked with the coach and the team I really liked it. I decided a week later that I was going to go there. Once I went down there I fell in love with everything.”
Langdon also looked at Pace, Florida Southern and SUNY Purchase.
“I looked at a lot of small schools, but Lynn University’s program really interested me,” said Langdon, who played forward/midfield for the Hornets. “The coach was really nice, but mainly I liked the small campus.”
As a freshman at Lakeland, Langdon started to get serious about potentially playing in college one day.
“I’ve always had big dreams of playing in college, but I didn’t think they’d actually come true,” she said. “Now that it’s here I can’t even believe it.”
