RANK TEAM REC LW COMMENTS
1 Ketcham 13-4 1

The Indians split with Arlington last week but clinched a league title in the process. Interesting week ahead with Clarkstown South, and then Kennedy in the first round of the Ricky Lombardo Tournament at home Saturday.

2 John Jay-EF 10-3 2

Barring a big upset, the Patriots should close out the regular season with four wins (Clarkstown North, Carmel, Poughkeepsie and Hen Hud) and earn a Top 4 seed in the Class AA playoffs.

3 North Rockland 15-3 8

The Red Raiders close the regular season this week with a pair of matchups with Suffern, games that will determine a league champion. A matchup of aces — Joe Anselmi for North Rockland and Dominick Kulbaba for Suffern — could be special.

4 Marlboro 14-1 5

The dream of a perfect season ended for the Iron Dukes with last week’s 6-0 loss to New Paltz. It was a minor setback for Marlboro, which closes the regular season with games against Monticello and Wallkill.

5 Mamaroneck 13-5 3

The Tigers are reeling a bit after back to back losses to Kennedy and Columbia. They should get back on track this week with season-ending matchups with Mount Vernon.

6 Suffern 11-4 9

Things are falling into place at the right time for Suffern, and they can really build some playoff momentum this week with two meetings with North Rockland. A league title is on the line.

7 Briarcliff 15-2 4

Any loss for the Bears is surprising, and Friday’s defeat to Keio was a stunner. Maybe they need games like that to refocus for another title run?

8 Arlington 12-6 10

The Admirals followed up last Tuesday’s loss to Ketcham with a convincing win over their rivals the following day. Arlington will be in the middle of the Class AA bracket. Yet they’ll be the team nobody wants to play.

9 Harrison 14-4 NR

The Huskies return to the rankings after splitting with Fox Lane last week and knocking off Tappan Zee on Monday. Pitching is deep. Max Bruckner and Luke Sassone are both 5-0 and Michael Forgione has a 3.22 ERA.

10 Kennedy 10-3 NR

With a week to go in the regular season, the Gaels are sitting in prime position to capture a Section 1 championship in Class A. They’re hitting exceptionally well and have faced one of the toughest schedules in the section. Beating Mamaroneck Friday showed they were for real.
