Friday, Feb. 17
Opening round
Class AA

North Rockland 63, Ramapo 54

At North Rockland, Malvin Rosario had 21 points and eight rebounds to lead the seventh-seeded Red Raiders to the victory. Charles Nardone added 18 points and five rebounds for North Rockland, which will face No. 2 Fox Lane in Tuesday's quarterfinal. David Haye had 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists for No. 10 Ramapo.

Clarkstown South 75, John Jay-East Fishkill 53

At Clarkstown South, Clayton Roker had a fantastic all-around game including 20 points, nine rebounds, five assists, three blocks, and five steals for No. 4 Clarkstown South. Leading scorer Mike McCahey led the way with 18 of his 24 points in the second half. Frank Tucek added 12 points off the bench for South in the victory. No. 13 John Jay-EF was led by Nick Segarra's 20 points and six assists. Brandon Schneider added 19 points for the Patriots in the loss. Clarkstown South will host No. 5 Carmel in the quarterfinal round.

Mount Vernon 108, Clarkstown North 53

The top-seeded Knights cruised to their 17th win of the season against No. 16 Clarkstown North at home. Qwedere Lovell had a team-high 17 points. Isaiah Cousins and Jarell Marshall each scored 16 for Mount Vernon, which will host rival New Rochelle in Tuesday's quarterfinals.

Arlington 44, Greeley 42

At Arlington, Gio Rodriguez hit three free throws with four seconds to play as No. 6 Arlington escaped with the victory. Dan Kane had 17 points and Brian Brocker added 14 for the Admirals, who'll play at No. 3 Mahopac in Tuesday's quarterfinals. The Admirals blew a 31-17 lead midway through the third quarter and watched the Quakers go on a staggering 25-8 run. Between the perimeter shooting of Brett Klein (eight points), the dribble-drive penetration of Justin Ciero (nine points) and the slashing of Harrison Brown (17 points), Greeley came all the way back to take a 42-39 lead with 64 seconds to play.

New Rochelle 65, Mamaroneck 40

At New Rochelle, the eighth-seeded Huguenots took a 14-4 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Kirkland Ottey and Chris Elefante each had 11 points for New Rochelle, which lost to Mamaroneck in the final week of the regular season. The Huguenots will play at No. 1 Mount Vernon in Tuesday's quarterfinals.

Fox Lane 40, Suffern 36

At Fox Lane, the second-seeded Foxes escaped despite trailing by five points with five minutes to play. Will Trawick had a team-high nine points and 11 rebounds for Fox Lane, which will host No. 7 North Rockland in Tuesday's quarterfinals.

Mahopac 55, Ossining 54
Carmel 59, White Plains 47

Class A

Brewster 61, Saunders 60

At Saunders, Jack Dignan had 20 points and four assists as the 10th-seeded Bears rallied in the fourth quarter to beat No. 7 Saunders. Dignan had Brewster's final seven points, including a step-back 3-pointer with just over a minute to play to make it a five-point game. He later sank a pair of free throws with 15 seconds left to seal it. Saunders, which outrebounded Brewster 39-25 despite being undersized at every position, led almost the entire game. Jerrell Benitez led the Blue Devils (13-6) with 20 points, six rebounds (five offensive), four assists and four steals. Brewster will play either No. 2 Peekskill or No. 18 John Jay-CR in Wednesday's quarterfinal.

Byram Hills 53, Rye 40

At Byram Hills, Ryan Golden scored a game-high 16 points as the defending Section 1 Class A champs avenged two regular season losses to the 12th-seeded Garnets. Byram Hills, the No. 5 seed, will play at No. 4 Kennedy in Wednesday's quarterfinal. The teams met in last year's Section 1 semifinal. Andrew Groll, a freshman, had 11 points, and Brian Skelly added eight for Byram Hills. Kamal Logue had 12 points for Rye.

Poughkeepsie 50, Pelham 44

At Pelham, the 11th-seeded Pioneers rallied back in the second half to knock off No. 6 Pelham. Lateek Anderson scored 15 points and Jemar Dancy added 13 for Poughkeepsie, which will play at No. 3 Eastchester in Wednesday's quarterfinals. Ke'Shaun Stallworth had 19 points in the loss.

Tappan Zee 60, Lakeland 35

At Tappan Zee, Billy O'Shea led a balanced effort, scoring a game-high 17 points, as the top-seeded Dutchmen remained undefeated and advanced to Wednesday's quarterfinal. Brendan Donahue and Pat Peterson each scored 11 points, and Joe Letizia added 10 for Tappan Zee, which will host No. 8 Pearl River in the quarterfinals.

Eastchester 71, Harrison 47

At Eastchester, the third-seeded Eagles advanced with a convincing victory and celebrated a record in the same night. Senior forward Dave Solano became the school's all-time leading scorer with a basket in the third quarter. He had 21 points, and sophomore point guard Jack Daly had a game-high 25 in the victory. Eastchester will host No. 11 Poughkeepsie in Wednesday's quarterfinal.

Kennedy 64, Lourdes 46

At Kennedy, the fourth-seeded Gaels broke away from a tight game in the third quarter. Jordan Hardy and Thiago Randazzo each scored 16 points in the victory. Mike DeMello had 10 points, highlighted by a key 3-pointer as time expired in the third quarter to extend the lead to 46-38. Jack Kolosku and Nick Porter each scored 13 points in the loss. Kennedy will host No. 5 Byram Hills in Wednesday's quarterfinals.

Peekskill 75, John Jay-CR 64

At Peekskill, the second-seeded Red Devils escaped an upset bid by No. 18 John Jay-Cros River. Chandler Pierce had a team-high 19 points and six rebounds for Peekskill, who was tied at the half and led by only four to start the fourth. Bayron Carter had 11 points for Peekskill, inclduing three 3-pointers. Brad Goldman and Matt Ferentini had 21 and 19 points, respectively for John Jay. The Red Devils (16-2) will host No. 10 Brewster in Wednesday's quarterfinals.

Pearl River 75, Riverside 47

Class B

Blind Brook 56, Westlake 44

At Blind Brook, the No. 5-seeded Trojans cruised to a 56-44 win over No. 12-seeded Westlake. Senior point guard Sam Adler paced Blind Brook with a team-high 14 points. Teammate Jack Jamilkowski hit three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points. Antoine Saliba (seven points), Jordan Wurtzel (six points), Jeff Visoky (six points) and Jeff Babat (six points) rounded out the offensive production for the Trojans, who will travel to No. 4-seeded Pleasantville for a quarterfinals matchup on Wednesday. For Westlake, Rich Maio totaled a game-high 16 points. Big man Tommy Hopkins scored all 11 of his points in the first half. Blind Brook limited the Wildcats to just 14 second-half points.

Croton-Harmon 66, Pawling 56

At Croton-Harmon, Ian Thom scored 24 points, including four 3-pointers, with four assists and three steals to lead the sixth-seeded Tigers. Wes Turner added 16 points, including 10 free throws, and five rebounds for Croton, which will play at No. 3 Woodlands in Wednesday's quarterfinals. Justin Mayette had 18 points in the loss.

Briarcliff 45, Bronxville 41

At Briarcliff, the Bears raced out to an 11-2 lead but had to hold off surging Bronxville in the final minutes to advance . Bronxville clawed back from a 24-15 halftime deficit to take their first lead of the game, 37-36, with 1:18 remaining. But the Bears fought back with a bucket from Brian Daniels that gave them the lead back and a nice pass from Daniels to senior forward Paul Henshaw with just 29 seconds remaining that put Briarcliff up 43-39. Tyriek Johnson sealed the win with a free throw to maintain a two possession game in the finals seconds. Brian Daniels the Bears with 14 points, and got help from Johnson with 10 points and Ryan Huegel with 8 points Bronxville was led by Jack Aherne with 13 points and Dylan Murray with 12 points.

Valhalla 38, Rye Neck 35

At Valhalla, the Panthers had a 3-point attempt as time expire miss to give No. 8 Valhalla the victory. Dan LoGuidice had eight of 12 points for the Vikings in the first quarter. Joseph Lovecchio added 10 points in the win. Valhalla will play at No. 1 Dobbs Ferry in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.

Woodlands 78, North Salem 67 (OT)

At Woodlands, the third-seeded Falcons avoided a stunning upset in a game it led by five points entering the fourth quarter. Fred Bowers had 26 points and Andre Scipio added 24 for Woodlands, which will host No. 6 Croton-Harmon in Wednesday's quarterfinals. Connor Holliday led North Salem with 26 points and Umar Singh added 24.
