MONTROSE, N.Y. — Hendrick Hudson and New Rochelle used early-inning rallies on Monday afternoon to roll into the championship game of the Hen Hud baseball tournament at Sunset Park.

Hen Hud won the opening game, defeating Panas 10-1 thanks to the seven runs it piled up in the first three innings.

New Rochelle knocked off rival Scarsdale 6-3 in the later game, which the Huguenots let 5-0 after two and got out of a jam late.

Hen Hud (1-2) and New Rochelle (2-0) will meet in Wednesday’s tournament final at 4:15 p.m. at Sunset Park. Panas and Scarsdale will play in the consolation game at 1.

Peter Pinque led a balanced Sailors offense on Monday. He drove in two runs and had two hits in the victory. Kyle Altman tripled and had an RBI, and Kurt Picarelli and George Travis each had RBI doubles for Hen Hud.

George Travis allowed only two hits and struck out four in five innings to earn the victory for Hen Hud.

New Rochelle took advantage of five Scarsdale errors to cruise to the victory. Phil DiBuono and Jared Wiesel each had two hits an RBI in the win. B.J. Giordano allowed four hits in five innings with four strikeouts for the win.
