Three huge wins last week -- including a thrilling come from behind victory by one goal over Chatham in OT. Then the Maroons got by No. 2 Mendham.

2 Mendham 4-1 3

Scored 10 or more goals in 3 of first 4 games. This team shouldn't feel too bad about falling to No. 1 Ridgewood on Monday, either.

3 Summit 3-0 4

Hilltoppers have opened season with three impressive wins against IHA, Glen Ridge, and Mountain Lakes.

4 Glen Ridge 2-1 5

The Ridgers crushed West Morris last week, but came up two goals shy vs. Summit.

5 Oak Knoll 3-0 11

The Royals tallied 16 goals in each win last week over Morris Knolls and IHA.

6 Chatham 2-2 2

This is the best 2-2 team in the tri-state area. It suffered two tough losses last week, in OT to No. 1 Ridgewood and to Long Island power St. Anthony.

Don't be fooled by the record. The Lakers' three losses to Oak Knoll, Mendham and Summit are by a combined five goals.

8 Ridge 4-0 15

The Red Devils have emerged as Somerset's team to beat with three big wins last week, including a 10-goal blowout over Bridgewater-Raritan.

9 Hillsborough 4-0 6

Impressive start for the Raiders, but big tests loom this week vs. Pingry and Bridgewater.

10 Old Bridge 2-0 -

Knights have scored 26 goals in first two games.

11 Pascack Valley 2-0 -

The Indians' 18-goal outburst against Bergen Tech has North Jersey opponents taking notice.

12 Manasquan 2-0 -

Strong start for the Big Blue Warriors. Huge test upcoming this week vs. legendary state power Moorestown.

13 Freehold Township 2-0 -

The Patriots are fresh off a big three-goal win over Jackson Memorial. They now look to a big upcoming game next Monday vs. Shore.

14 Red Bank Catholic 3-0 -

The Casey's 3-0 start includes a one-goal victory over Shore Regional.

15 West Morris 3-1 10

The Wolfpack's 3-1 record will be tested this week with IHA, Ridgewood and Mountain Lakes all on the slate.
