She starred on Long Island Lutheran's girls basketball team for the past two seasons and is probably one of the most dynamic playmakers on the Island...
...and she's going to be just a sophomore in the fall.
With that Long Island Lutheran point guard Boogie Brozoski is one of our Top 30 Long Island players to watch in the 2012-2013 school year.
The 5-foot-5, 14-year-old sophomore may not have the size or the age in what is expected out of someone to command a court, but Brozoski has been proving the experts wrong the past two years.
"I've coached her since fifth grade and she's been my leader," Coach Rich Slater told Newsday's Laura Albanese in January.
"She's had the ball in her hands. I trust her. She welcomes the pressure, she welcomes the challenge . . . She says, 'Coach, I want the ball in my hands.' She's got great insight that you can't teach."
As just an eighth grader two years ago, Brozoski led Long Island Lutheran to the 2011 NYS Class B Federation title. Last season Boogie averaged 14.8 points per game and eight assists to lead the Crusaders to another Federation finals appearance, only this time to be topped by Westchester's Irvington.
Her 2012 highlight came against fellow Long Island powerhouse St. Anthony's in which Brozoski scored a career-high 28 points, three of those coming in a half-court heave to end the third quarter.
