SOIT plans trip to Boston for 2012

Students from the School of Information Technology are planning to visit Boston in 2012. Working with Smithsonian Student Travel to plan the trip, which will be four days and three nights, is math teacher Ms. Lisanti. The trip is all-inclusive and the package includes transportation, three nights hotel accommodation, breakfast and dinner daily, a full-time Smithsonian Student Travel tour director, sightseeing led by a licensed guide, visits to special attractions, education materials developed by the Smithsonian, a Smithsonian membership and much more.

Smithsonian Student Travel is the domestic travel division of EF Education First, a company with 45 years of experience in educational travel. Smithsonian Student Travel is the first and only tour operator accredited by CITA, which means students can earn high school credit for traveling and completing associated coursework. The trip provides students real-world experience. Ms. Lisanti is holding an interest meeting for parents of SOIT students on Friday, October 28, 2011, and she expects a huge turnout.
