Montclair defensive lineman Julian Pinnix-Odrick signed his national letter of intent with Rutgers on Wednesday morning.
The 6-foot-5, 270-pounder, who helped Montclair reach the North 1 Group 4 championship game this past December, chose the Scarlet Knights over Penn State and multiple other Division I offers.
Pinnix-Odrick, like many Garden State recruits, could’ve shied away from Rutgers in the wake of former coach Greg Schiano leaving for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but opted to stay.
Joining Pinnix-Odrick next fall at the Pisctaway school will be Don Bosco duo Darius Hamilton and Leonte Carroo, Sayreville’s Delon Stephenson, DePaul’s Davon Jacobs and Saddle Brook’s Steve Longa.
