Potzer named Kinnelon girls soccer coach

Jason Potzer has been named the new girls soccer head coach at Kinnelon, replacing Steve Racine.
Potzer spent the past three seasons directing High Point on a steady ascent. He crafted a 37-18-5 mark during that span, including a 15-3-2 showing last fall marked by a Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament title.
He will have big shoes to fill. Racine arrived at Kinnelon in 2003 after 21 championship-filled seasons at Morris Catholic and lifted Kinnelon to instantaneous credibility. By his fourth season, Racine was piloting the Colts to a 19-4-1 mark and the program’s first NJSIAA Group 1 state title. He stepped down at the conclusion of last season with a career record of 539-105-38.
Potzer inherits a squad coming off an 18-5-1 effort in 2011 and stocked with offensive firepower. The Colts are expected to return their top two scorers in senior Chalen Noble (14 goals, 10 assists) and junior Ingrid DiClemente (18 goals, five assists).
