1 | Bridgewater-Raritan | 8-0 | 1 |
Chuck Apel became only New Jersey's fourth coach to amass 400 career victories with a flawless 14-0 decision over Immaculata on Saturday. Ryan Hollingsworth and Scott Bieda netted four goals each, Vince Colatriano was strong on faceoffs and the defense played brilliantly behind Evan Mock and Jared Kaden. |
| 2 | Summit | 9-0 | 2 |
Rutgers-bound attackman Nick Kilkowski has banged in 17 goals over the last three games while Tommy Celmer, Tom Lackaye and David Kalin provide steady, underrated play in the midfield. Tyler Carbone has shown versatility at the pole. The Hilltoppers displayed their might Monday with a 17-3 win over previously undefeated Mount Olive.
|
3 | Delbarton | 5-3 | 5 |
So much for that disappointing 1-3 start. The Green Wave were in championship form when 12 players scored Saturday in a 17-7 rout of archrival Mountain Lakes. Sean Donnelly and John Shaffer paced the eruption with three goals apiece and Connor Bilby added four assists. They face a tough competitor Wednesday in No. 9 Seton Hall Prep. |
|
4 | Don Bosco Prep | 8-0 | 7 |
Knocked off Glen Ridge, Iona Prep and Fieldston in succession behind the tough defensive play of John Petzold, Brian Kittredge and Anthony Falco and the reliable offensive performances of Jack Ray, Max Allen and Brady Wulster. Bosco allowed just nine goals over those three games. |
|
5 | Mountain Lakes | 6-1 | 3 |
The Lakers took a surprising hit Saturday against Delbarton, 17-7, but look to rebound today against Kinnelon with strong defensive outings from Tyler Batesko, Dan Badolato and Scott Flynn. Eric Dircks netted three goals and had one assist in the loss to Delbarton. |
|
6 | Ridge | 8-2 | 6 |
The Red Devils have won four straight with the help of solid faceoff work by Alec Burckley and the steady offensive play of Connor Meth and Eric Scott. The Quinnipiac-bound Meth has produced 13 goals and Scott has 11 over the streak. |
| 7 | Hunterdon Central | 7-1 | 8 |
The Red Devils racked up 26 goals in the last two games to post victories over Moorestown and Montgomery. Nick Tortoriello sank seven goals, Zachary Schreck had five and ever-unselfish Blake Searfoss had nine assists to lead the way. They gear up for showdown with No. 1 Bridgewater-Raritan Wednesday.
| 8 | Westfield | 7-1 | 9 |
The Blue Devils snared a signature win last Wednesday against then-No. 4 Chatham, 9-8. Jackson O'Leary, who has been hot all season, and Paul Devita scored three goals apiece and Alex McHugh and Garrett Williamson both provided timely goalkeeping.
| 9 | Seton Hall Prep | 6-3 | 10 |
The Pirates showed resilience by following up a 14-8 loss to powerhouse Lawrenceville with a 12-3 win over Chatham on Saturday. A.J. Pravata, Jimmy Jannicelli, Chris Hartman and Michael Herbert look to continue their sturdy defensive play against Delbarton on Wednesday.
|
10 | Chatham | 7-3 | 4 |
The Cougars, who have lost two straight, look for an offensive spark from Kyle Howard-Johnson, Sam Carson and Matt Proto today against West Morris and Thursday against Bernards. |
|
11 | Glen Ridge | 6-3 | 11 |
John Winchell, Eric Prezioso and Michael Lloyd anchored an outstanding defensive effort Saturday to pace a 14-2 win over Ramapo. The Ridgers look for more of that in their battle Wednesday against Ridgewood. |
| 12 | Somerville | 9-0 | 15 |
The Pioneers outscored their last three opponents, 40-8, with sterling play from Matt Raposo, Logan LeBlond and Dan Remoli. Cannot overlook the steady defense of Chris Contino, Randy Maroney and the rest of their group.
|
13 | Ridgewood | 3-5 | 14 |
The Maroons put forth a tough effort against talented West Islip Saturday, but fell, 9-5. They hope to redeem themselves Wednesday against Glen Ridge with strong offensive play by Connor O'Shea, Jack Allard and Garcia Logan. |
|
14 | Mount Olive | 9-1 | 13 |
The Marauders were rocked by powerhouse Summit on Monday, 17-3, but that does not detract from the consistent play this season of Tyler McEvoy, Chris Sanchez, Logan St. John and so many others. |
|
15 | Glen Rock | 8-0 | - |
The Panthers kept their undefeated mark intact Monday with a 9-6 decision over Northern Highlands. Tim Miller, Alex Walker and Breaden DeWan power a balanced offense while Pat Keller leads the defense. |
