The Robbinsville softball team has endured a rollercoaster season, but the group has every intention of keeping the ride going.

One of the many exciting corkscrews will present itself on Saturday evening, when one the of Garden State's most powerful clubs hosts Pennsbury High School of Pennsylvania at 7 p.m. in a much-anticipated contest which can be seen live on MSGVarsity.com.

Robbinsville, No. 4 in the MSG Varsity New Jersey power rankings, saw its 37-game winning streak come to an end on May 2. Allentown, another potent team with championship aspirations, defeated the mighty Ravens, 3-2.

However, Robbinsville was still named the top seed in the Mercer County Tournament, with Allentown coming in at the second slot.

All 14 Colonial Valley Conference teams will compete in the tournament, and both Robbinsville and Allentown have first-round byes until the quarterfinals, slated for May 14.

The winner between eighth-seeded Princeton and ninth-seeded Lawrence will face Robbinsville.

Since falling to Allentown, the Ravens got back to ther winning ways by edging Ewing, 1-0, on May 4. Jess Samel recorded the game-winning RBI in the seventh inning and helped protect Lauren Fischer's gem from the pitching circle. Fischer recorded 12 strikeouts and surrendered two hits in the complete-game effort.

Pennsbury enters with a 15-1 record, just days after suffering a 6-3 setback to Truman High School.
