Bound Brook narrowly defeated in Somerset county rematch
On Friday May 11, the Bound Brook baseball team traveled to play the North Plainfield Canucks under the lights at 7 pm in North Plainfield. The Canucks squeezed out the win, 2-1.
The last time that the two teams faced each other was in the first round of the Somerset County Tournament. The Canucks dominated that game and won by a score of 18-3.
North Plainfield started off right by scoring a run in the first inning. The score was 1-0 until the third inning when the Canucks got another player across the plate making the score 2-0.
The Crusaders fought hard until the end. Bound Brook was able to score a run in the sixth inning.
