MSGVarsity.com's Endless Summer continues on as we name St. Anthony's girls lacrosse middie, senior Maggie Bill as one of our Top 30 Long Island players to watch for the 2012-13 school year.
With a St. Anthony's team that will be losing a bunch of seniors like Anne Heagarty and Darcy Messina come next spring to graduation, Bill will be required to carry a significant load of the offense. Judging by her 2012 numbers, that simply won't be a problem.
Last season as a junior Bill helped lead St. Anthony's (16-1) to a fifth straight CHSAA Class AA title with another win over Sacred Heart Academy. She racked up 32 goals and 16 assists in just 17 games for the Friars, with most of her scoring coming in the final five contests (14 goals, 2 assists).
She's already a two-time UnderArmour All-American, a two-time Newsday All-Long Island selection, and this summer led Team Long Island to an Under Amour Underclassmen championship while being named tournament MVP.
Bill has already committed to play lacrosse at the college level to the University of North Carolina in 2014.
