    Paris Hodges led Southampton to a second straight Suffolk Class B girls basketball championship as the top-seeded Mariners defeated No. 2 Center Moriches, 50-33, at Eastport-South Manor. She had 15 points, 12 rebounds and four steals to lead Southampton (14-3). Hodges' younger sister Noel added 12 points and three assists.

    SEMI-FINALS

    Friday, February 15 (at higher seed)

    (2) Center Moriches 80, (3) Mattituck 69

    Tori Fahie scored 25 points on seven three-pointers as No. 2 Center Moriches (12-4) beat No. 3 Mattituck (11-8) in the Suffolk Class B semifinal. Center Moriches will play No. 1 Southampton in the championship game at Eastport-South Manor, Tuesday at 7 p.m.

     

    CLASS C

    LONG ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIP

    (N1) Friends Academy 29, (S1) Stony Brook 25

    Lindsay O'Sullivan scored 22 points to lead Friends Academy (11-9) to its first Long Island Class C title. The Quakers will face Alexander Hamilton at 5 p.m. Saturday in the Southeast Regional at Adelphi.

    (1) Stony Brook 56, (3) Southold 39

    Ariana Odom had 15 points, seven assists and seven rebounds, Keara Vancol had 15 points and eight rebounds and Madison Rylands had 13 points and eight rebounds to lead No. 1 Stony Brook over No. 3 Southold in the Suffolk Class C finals at Center Moriches.
