Suffolk baseball playoff seeds announced

The seeding for the Suffolk County baseball post-season was announced Monday morning. Very little surprises and it all starts Tuesday with a Class AA out bracket game when Smithtown West travels to Sachem East at 4 p.m.

If the out bracket game between the 16th and 17th seeds gets rained out and there is a lot of rain expected for Tuesday – the game will be played Wednesday and the double elimination tournament will begin on Thursday at the higher seeds.

Here are the seeds:

Class AA -- 1.Connetquot; 2. Half Hollow Hills West; 3. Eastport-South Manor; 4. Smithtown East; 5. East Islip; 6. Commack; 7. Patchogue-Medford; 8. Ward Melville; 9. Hauppauge; 10. Kings Park; 11. Bay Shore; 12. Longwood; 13. West Islip; 14. West Babylon; 15. Bellport; 16. Sachem East; 17; Smithtown West.

Class A -- 1. Shoreham-Wading River; 2. Bayport-Blue Point; 3. Miller Place; 4. Rocky Point; 5. Sayville; 6. Mt. Sinai.

Class B – 1. Babylon; 2. Southampton.

Class C – 1. Pierson; 2. Southold.

Class D – Smithtown Christian automatic bid into state tournament.
