Boys Golfer of the Year
Annie Park, MacArthur, junior
Park became the first girl to win the Nassau boys golf championship, breaking the county scoring record by six strokes with an 8-under 134 for the two-day tournament at Bethpage State Park. Park defeated a field of 134 golfers, 133 of whom were boys. She has already earned a full golf scholarship to the University of Southern California.
Mark Reilly, St. John the Baptist, junior
After shooting a one-over 73 at Eisenhower Red, Reilly birdied a par-5 playoff hole to win the CHSAA individual championship. The junior also finished second in the CHSAA state tournament and fourth in the state Federation championship.
Mike Miranda, Middle Country, junior
Miranda scored an eagle 3 on the par-5 15th hole at Indian Island Country Club in Riverhead on his way to clinching the Suffolk title, shooting an even-par 144 over the two-day tournament.
Coach of the year: Alex Conlon, St. Anthony's
Coached St. Anthony's to its first CHSAA championship since 2007, edging out four-time defending champion Chaminade, 378-384, in the team tournament.
