Ramapo soars past Lincoln in opener
After a disappointing 2010 season, the Ramapo Gryphons spent the summer working hard, determined to raise their level of hard work with hopes of creating a more successful fall season.
This way of thinking already proved successful as seen at the very first game of the 2011 season when the Gryphons destroyed the Lincoln Lancers 53-0. “It feels good to win after all the hard work,” said running back Kevin Jocelyn after Ramapo's big win.
The game was highlighted by the senior, Jocelyn, who rushed for more than 200 yards on six carries. Ramapo coach Dinuzo also credits the offensive line for their great effort which led to much of the team’s game success. Coach Dinuzo believes that this year’s new players, many of them juniors, have raised the team's level of play.
Each of Ramapo's coaches agree on how the continuing development of the football program, from junior varsity and up, have given Ramapo the needed boost to make this season a more successful one.
