Connecticut Region boys ice hockey rankings (1/10)
1 Fairfield Prep (6-2)
Junior Connor Henery had two goals in the Jesuits’ huge 4-3 win over Notre Dame of West Haven on Saturday.
2. Brunswick (7-4)
The Bruins will play their first home game in nearly a month against Millbrook, N.Y., on Wednesday.
3. Ridgefield (5-1)
The Tigers have won five straight since a season-opening loss to Fairfield Prep.
4. Darien (3-3)
In a span of three days last week last week, Max Rothston and the Blue Wave notched two victories over Notre Dame-Fairfield.
5. New Canaan (4-3)
The Rams’ special teams units were on fire in a FCIAC finals rematch win over St. Joseph last week. New Canaan scored four power-play goals, a short-handed goal and killed off two 5-on-3 penalties.
6. St. Joseph (4-3)
This is a big week for the Cadets, who have dropped two straight heading into showdowns against Greenwich and Ridgefield.
7. Trumbull (5-1)
The high-scoring Eagles have registered at least three goals in every game this season.
8. Staples/Weston/Shelton (4-0)
The co-op team has a Division II showdown looming against Trumbull on Saturday.
9. Notre Dame-Fairfield (2-5)
The Lancers have dropped four of their last five and will try to get back on track against New Milford on Thursday.
10. Amity (2-4)
The Spartans have yielded 25 goals in their losses this season. That doesn’t bode well with Fairfield Prep waiting on deck.
