GIRLS HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE YEAR
OLIVIA HOMPE, NEW CANAAN
Hompe, a junior, broke her own state record with 78 goals and 35 assists for 113 points this season.
Hompe earned MVP honors for the FCIAC girls ice hockey tournament when she racked up six goals and one assist in New Canaan’s 8-0 win over Greenwich in the final. It was the Rams’ third straight league championship.
Hompe also had a hat trick and two assists in a 6-1 semifinal win over Darien, giving her nine goals and three assists in the tournament.
New Canaan was 23-2 this season.
