FCIAC boys basketball player of the year: James Jennings
BOYS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR
JAMES JENNINGS
St. Joseph, Sr., PG
With a flair for the dramatic, whenever St. Joe's needed a big shot they went to Jennings, who rarely disapointed. St. Joseph's ball handler and sharpshooter finished his career averaging over 15 points and five assists per game.
The 5-foot-7 point guard played with the heart of a lion and ice water in his veins, averaging 23 points in the final five games of his career to lead the Cadets to their second straight CIAC Class LL title. Jennings, who earned All-State and first team All-FCIAC honors, plans to play in college.
