NORTH HALEDON, N.J. -- Eastern Christian and Glen Rock, a pair of North Jersey teams who have gotten off to hot starts, put their undefeated records on the line when they square off on Wednesday evening.
The girls soccer showdown is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m., and will be live-streamed exclusively on MSGVarsity.com.
The Eagles of Eastern Christian have yet to lose, but are coming off a scoreless tie against Pompton Lakes late last week. Prior to the draw, they recorded shutout wins over Hawthorne and Manchester.
Stingy defense has helped Eastern Christian cruise to a 4-0-1 record to start the campaign, as it has surrendered just one goal in those five contests.
Meanwhile, the visiting Panthers have been equally impressive, if not more. They have held opponents scoreless in five victories this year, and certainly seem to possess enough talent to make a deep playoff run once again.
Prior to blanking Elmwood Park on Tuesday, Colleen DeMaio and Hannah Petrone each scored a goal and helped their team blank Lodi, 2-0, late last week.
