5 Preston 13-2 4

6 St. Francis Prep 9-6 6

The Terriers had late leads in both games of the Brooklyn/Queens Diocesan series, but failed to close out the games. Nicole Lomangino graduates, but the Prep returns plenty next year. Next: Season complete

8 Construction 19-2 8

The Red Hawks actually had a 1-0 lead after two innings, but then Tottenville scored four in the bottom of the third en route to a 9-1 semifinal win. Still, with Britney Rodriguez returning for her junior year, there’s plenty of reasons for Marco Migliaccio to be optimistic. Next: Season complete

The Hilltoppers were one strike away from a huge win over rival St. Francis Prep in the CHSAA Brooklyn/Queens Class AA softball semifinals. Instead the Terriers rallied to score twice to end Mary Louis’ season. Next: Season complete

The Seagulls reached the PSAL Class A quarterfinals, but suffered a 9-0 loss to Susan Wagner, the third time this year the Falcons came out on top. Next: Season complete.
