    The Hilltoppers built a 5-3 halftime lead behind Nick Kilkowski and Tommy Celmer and held on to edge Chatham, 6-5, Monday in a Fitch-Pitt Division clash. It was a rematch of their classic five-overtime battle won by Summit last year for the state Group 2 championship.

    Connor Meth (39 goals), Eric Scott and Alex Gaydos delivered in the clutch to lead the Red Devils to tight victories against Montgomery, 13-12, in overtime, and Immaculata, 7-5. Ridge will likely be the No. 2 seed behind Bridgewater when the Somerset County Tournament seeds are set Wednesday.

    Senior attackman Blake Searfoss continues to engineer this offense with skill and unselfishness. He has nine assists in the last two games and 36 for the season. Nick Tortoriello has seven goals in the last two games.

    The Lakers were stunned by Bergen Catholic Monday, 8-7, in OT, despite a five-goal performance by Rob Orazietti and one goal and two assists from Jon Broome. They have a chance to bounce back Thursday against No. 4 Don Bosco Prep.

    The Pirates rode the offensive play of Tim Mulrenan (four goals), Chris Donovan and Paul Werner to outlast West Morris in overtime, 11-10, Saturday after falling to Delbarton, 14-10, three days earlier. The Villanova-bound Mulrenan now has 42 goals.

    The Cougars have lost three of their last five, but can never be overlooked. Kyle Howard-Johnson, Sam Carson and Thomas Stephan led a strong second half that just fell short of upsetting Summit on Monday, 6-5.

    The Maroons have won four of five behind outstanding defensive play by Tripp Telesco, Ryan Ghaderi and Dylan Logan and the timely scoring of Jack Allard and Max Luing. Noah Pounds made eight saves last Wednesday to pace a 6-5 upset over Glen Ridge.

    Jameson Smith scored three goals and Shane Doss stopped 11 shots, but their club could not find those one or two extra plays when it fell to Ridgewood, 6-5, last Wednesday. The Ridgers look for strong defense from John Winchell and Eric Prezioso when they battle No. 9 Chatham Thursday.

    Alex Williams and Tanner Barbeiri netted three goals apiece and senior Dylan Rothenberg halted 17 shots last Wednesday to lead a 9-4 upset over then-No. 8 Westfield. The Marauders take an eight-game winning streak into Wednesday's game against Montclair Kimberley.
