Livecast primer: Molloy vs. Bishop Loughlin
Archbishop Molloy and Bishop Loughlin, two of the top five girls basketball teams in NYC, are set to square off in what is sure to be a thrilling CHSAA Brooklyn/Queens Division I match-up broadcasted live from Ft. Greene on MSGVarsity.com at 6:30 p.m.
Following a big win over Christ the King, Molloy (12-3) cruised to an easy victory over St. Francis Prep on Saturday. Star guard Amani Tatum suffered a fourth quarter concussion and her status is unknown against Loughlin.
Junior Carolyn Gallagher has been on a tear all season and will be key here as the Stanners look to ascend up the CHSAA ladder.
Bishop Loughlin (6-6) on the other hand has some work to do as they continue to be a relatively mercurial team. Seeming to trade wins for losses, they followed a win against Norland (Fla.) with an embarrassing loss to Bishop Ford last Wednesday.
A win for Loughlin is just the sort of home-cooking they need to kick-start an uptick for their season. Look for a big performance from junior guard Imani Tate as they attempt to nudge their way past .500.
