Their season started fashionably late, but led by transfer Sadie Edwards, the Lady Kingsmen reeled off back-to-back league wins against Mary Louis and Bishop Loughlin.

Fannisha Price had 18 points and Aliyah Cooley added 10 points in a 43-38 win against St. Frances (Md.) at the Festival of the Phoenix tournament Saturday at University HS in New Jersey.

Ford picked up a huge overtime win at St. John Vianney Saturday with Shanice Vaughn leading the way with 18 points and Aaliyah Lewis adding 17.

Carolyn Gallagher scored 34 points Sunday against Ossining, a tremendous achievement on any day. But it was 20 less than Saniya Chong in a 92-75 loss at the Francis Lewis Winter Ball.

After opening the season with big wins against Bergtraum and Mary Louis, the Lions fell to Nazareth and Archbishop Molloy this week.

The Hilltoppers finally picked up a win in New York, snapping a four-game losing streak with a 50-41 win against Murry Bergtraum at the Francis Lewis Winter Ball. Jasmine Nwajei led the way with a game-high 21 points.

No. 7 Christ the King (0-3)

Sierra Calhoun had 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting and Kollyns Scarbrough added seven for the Royals in a 66-37 loss to St. Mary’s (Ariz.), ranked No. 20 in the country by USA Today at the Nike Tournament of Champions.

Jamie O’Hare and Christina Rubin both reached the 1,000-point mark for their careers in a 68-29 win against Ransom Everglades (Fla.) in the KSA Classic Monday at Disney’s Wide World of Sports.

Shequana Harris scored 11 of her 12 points in the third quarter and freshman Ashanae McLaughlin added 12, but it came in a 50-41 loss to The Mary Louis Academy.

The Lady Mustangs picked up a huge emotional – and rare – win against JFK Wednesday, but followed that up with a 62-41 loss to Long Island Lutheran, the defending New York State Federation Class B champions Sunday at the Francis Lewis Winter Ball.

No. 11 Cardinal Spellman (5-0)

Maria Bachman had 22 points and 13 boards and Nicole Awooner-Renner added nine points and 16 rebounds for the Pilots in a 62-30 win against Aquinas Monday.

No. 12 John F. Kennedy (6-4)

Inconsistency continues to plague O’Neil Glenn’s squad, which suffered its first loss to Truman in a decade on Wednesday, losing to the Lady Mustangs, 58-56.

Jasmine Davis had 15 point and 15 rebounds and Tyese Purvis had 12 points and eight boards for the Patriots in a 53-46 loss to St. John the Baptist Sunday at the Francis Lewis Winter Ball.

No. 14 Benjamin Banneker (5-1)

Led by Africa Williams, who had 30 points in a loss to Francis Lewis last Monday, Banneker is capable of beating anybody in the wide-open PSAL.

Kaitlyn Astel had 18 points in a 38-33 win against A.N. Myer (Ontario) as MSIT won two of three games at the KSA Classic in Orlando.
