Power rankings: LI/NYC hockey (12/6)
1) Smithtown (13-0)
The Bulls have been a pretty tough team to stop in Suffolk County, just ask last week’s No. 7 Sachem, which fell to Smithtown 6-3 on Sunday. The Bulls have outscored its opponents by a 3-1 margin.

2) Syosset (6-0)
As long as Corey Hoffman puts up four points a night, Syosset will keep rolling. The super sophomore put up five points (3 G, 2 A) against Long Beach to increase his numbers to 39 points in just six games as the Braves downed the defending champs, 6-4 Monday.

3) St. Anthony’s (4-0)
Defending CHSHL champs have been on a roll in 2011 going a perfect 4-0. The Friars had to fend off some tough competition in St. Mary’s and goaltender Vito Anteri, who stopped 48 of 53 shots. However Mike Marnell figured out Anteri, notching two goals and two helpers in a 5-0 blanking.

4) Connetquot/Sayville (10-1)
The T-Birds have not given up more than three goals all year, with its only loss coming against powerhouse Smithtown.

5) Monsignor Farrell (2-1-1)
Jamie Skovronck and John Pallis scored for the Lions in a 2-1 win against St. Mary’s (Manhasset) Sunday at Abe Stark Rink.

6) Long Beach (6-2)
The Marines ran into the Corey Hoffman juggernaut Monday night as Long Beach fell to Syosset, 6-4. They will look to get back on the winning track against Great Neck next.

7) St. Joseph by the Sea (0-1-2)
After being idle this week, the Vikings return to the ice Friday night against Iona Prep.

The Rams dropped an 8-3 decision to St. Anthony’s and then lost 6-5 to rival Iona Prep, their second one-goal loss of the season.

9) East Williston (7-0-2)
The defending Liberty Division champions are coming off a win against Port Washington, will look to remain undefeated against Bethpage.

The defending CHSHL ‘B’ champs continue to roll right along, routing Xavier, 8-1, last Wednesday thanks to four goals from Travis Saladis.
