    Crasa, Bowe lead Suffolk to state title

    Cydney Crasa won state titles on vault and balance beam while Katie Bowe won on the uneven parallel bars (9.450) to lead Suffolk's gymnasts to the team state championship Saturday at Kenmore West High School.

    Cydney Crasa wins Suffolk individual title

    Crasa, a Ward Melville junior who secured a full scholarship to George Washington University this week, dominated in the Suffolk individual championships at Smithtown East, earning an all-around score of 38.275. The victory means she'll headline the state team in February for the second year in a row and the third time in her career. She also led her Patriots to a county title earlier this week.

    Cydney Crasa, the coach's daughter, won the all-around with a score of 38.475. She earned the highest score of the match on the vault.
